About This Blog
It’s hard to have a conversation with me without hearing me complain about something. For some reason, I just can’t stop talking about the way the world should be. That makes me fun at parties. It’s not that I see the glass as half empty, but I look at the glass and start thinking of ideas to fill it. If you think that’s tiring to listen to, just imagine how tiring it is for me.
I figured it’s time to share those ideas with people who can benefit from them. That’s where you come in. The purpose of this blog is to enlighten, and perhaps entertain marketers and people who create culture. We’ll cover a variety of topics relevant to the conversation through the following sections:
- Down With Us is our own version of trendspotting and explores cool or interesting cultural happenings that brands should be involved with, and the people behind those things.
- Don’t Believe the Hype is where we break down what brands are doing wrong, then we tell them how to do it right. We love giving away free ideas!
- On the Run chronicles our experiences while traveling or simply out of the office. This is a peek into our personal lives, but just a peek.
- Hate It or Love It is our audience participation segment, kind of like a radio station’s “pump it or dump it.” We discuss something a brand is doing and ask you to voice your opinion.
In the future, you’ll also find posts from guest bloggers who may be Rebels in their own right. And actually, we’d like your opinion on everything we put up here. As you know, what really matters today is conversation, so this blog is as much yours as it is ours. We’re just throwing out the first pitch.
